Who do you think had better fashion sense Prince or Lenny Kravitz? Id personally go with lenny also his look is more accessible to the man on the street very few people could get away with wearing what prince did or would want to. I'm just like everybody else I need love.....and water.

^^Hey, I'd take Prince's assless pants over everything Lenny's wearing and wear them while walking down the streets.

They both have their off and on days. P's assymetrical suits were cool. I have to say though that Lenny's clothes were more like clothes. P's clothes were more like costumes and theatrical statements. HIs casual clothes were not the kind of clothes most men would wear. Women would look cool in his casual clothes. He pulled it off though. in the early 90's, Kravitz wins by a landslide. P's look was not cool in my eyes.

Is this even a real question? Prince had better fashion sense. Nobody can ever beat Prince in anything.

To get away with wearing something has nothing to do with fasion sense. Prince had a way more original fashion sense, very daring. It wasnt always easy on the eyes, which makes it so daring. Lenny dresses very sexy, but much more safe.

Prince hands down. Lenny Kravitz looks like he stinks and his clothes always look dirty to me.

most of the stuff Prince wore, no man would ever wear, except Prince... Lenny Kravitz almost always looked cool and gender appropriate...way more style-mastering and cool clothing with Lenny....most of the time, Prince dressed like a matador, or ballerina, or figure skater....nothing cool about that... wheres the fashion sense in a young black man wearing legwarmers with high heel boots and girly panties in 1979?...only to add a trenchcoat over the panties in 1981?...then a shiny Purple trenchcoat with ruffled shirts?... that wasnt fashion sense, that was glamorous rockstar excess... dont even bring up his ridiculous "style" during the Gold Experience era...

Uhm, I think there are more men that wear clothes that were originally designed for women. Gender appropriate? I think clothes are designed for people and it doesn't matter if a man wears "women's clothes" or a woman "men's clothes." I actually like it when people have a gender bending style. It makes them more intersting than all this "normal" people who look all the same.

Not sure, but I'm pretty positive they're implying that Prince didn't dress like a man? If so, that's ridiculous. I wear band tees and jeans, do I not dress like a woman, then?

Now come on, do you not remember girls wearing those ruffled shirts, Prince created that style. It was the in thing.

Prince was known as fashion icon, don't believe me then ask Versace. I seen some of P's outfits & really like them, I've never really thought about Lenny. Lenny looks like a rock star & Prince looked fashionable (when he was dressed, lol)

Oh don't ask me to choose- that's like saying you must only choose one vehicle, and your choices are a Stingray Corvette and a Astin-Martin convertable!! I'm bowing out of this discussion. Both great, timeless, and it depends on your mood that particular moment!!! Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

There is a video out there in which Lenny's pants become crotchless pants half way trhough a song, so I'm not sure who has the upper hand there

no....there is clearly a line of demarcation when it comes to gender and clothing...thats why there are "MENS" departments and "WOMENS" departments, with accompanying ads, models and photos showing you which belongs to which...regardless of the current cultural agendas that are in effect, the majority of people on earth still adhere to these time tested traditions ...

I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. I get my tshirts most often in the men's dept. BTW, traditions change. This isnt the 1950's. Women don't wear dresses and heals everyday anymore, just like men don't wear full suits and polo shirts everyday anymore. Fashion changes.

prince had both great fashion and awful fashion ... often in the same week .. at least he put on something the world wouldn't dare .. points for that .. but Lenny one upped prince assless pants when he performed in those crotchless pants .. prince never topped that .. Lenny wins for bravery!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
we're talking about MEN wearing WOMENS clothes...traditions may change ...but right and wrong doesnt change...it is NOT right or cool or stylish for men to wear womens clothes...

Prince! Lenny wears too many dark colors and too many accessories for my taste. Not to say that I've never seen him look very put together. Prince balanced his accessories with his clothing better IMO...not that I liked everything he wore. Overall through the years and many outfits I'd say Prince had better fashion sense.

It was very stylish for Prince.

Lenny is cool. Prince was a freezer burn compared to cool. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
