i think i've asked this before, a long time ago, but i'm still unsure so if i asked before,
i didn't get an answer either way.

so, i have this 'remix' of pheromone, that starts out with what sounds like a fog horn
with a bit of reverb and then a pretty heavy beat drops in.

there is also some other effects and musical breaks in this, including drum patterns
not in the original version or the intrumental one.

the 'original' music is so muted and pushed down in the mix in places that i'm not at
all sure if this is something that's possible with just a home studio to do for fanmade
mixing. but i could be wrong. it could be something super simple

i can't link to it since i can't find it anywhere online. i don't know how i got it but i've
had it for probably 20 years and never seen it pop up anywhere else

there's no mention of it on princevault either.

but the thing is, eventho it's pretty redically tweaked, it doesn't sound like a right
out fake to me. it sounds like something prince would have either done himself at
that time or had someone else do.

it clocks in at 5:18 and only the very end of it sounds a bit dubious to me.

anyone?

I think that's the Versace Experience version, which is offiicial. Mine is 5:14 long

I have the Prelude 2 Gold but thats mainly just excerpts.

but i don't think i've ever heard the entire thing. crazy!

are the other tracks (the ones that aren't 'version 2' or 'version 3' etc) the same as released?

If y'all read what I posted, as well as the link to another thread about this topic, it says that V&OE is a bootleg, not the real deal. It's an interesting mix, but obvi some of those songs are from the aborted Madhouse project etc.
