Thank you! It might be in the Vault. I will check it out! 😄

Great song, but Larry’s vocals... they’re a taste I haven’t acquired yet...

Thanks Violetcrush. It is a good song! Sexy and blues-y....Prince for sure had his regrets...however they did inspire pretty awesome music.

Oh, I know - not a fan of his vocals at all - especially on that song. When I listen to it, I focus on the chorus lyrics, which include Prince's vocals. Larry's are way to deep and harsh. They don't mesh with the song.

I'm guessing this is another one that he felt was too personal to call his own, and place on one of his records sad

They just need to release a Dream Factory sessions disc with the quickness

Right!! Frustrating that they will not involve the band members with these plans/decisions. They played these songs, and were there. They should have input.

THIS IS WHAT IT'S LIKE
IN THE DREAM FACTORY

Ooh OooOOhHH

Yes i agree Larry's vocals were a little over the top. It made me want to giggle a little I'm sorry. 😇

That sounds interesting!!! Is that on Larry's 1998 CD? I have Chaka's come 2 my house and NPS but not that one.

It's on his later album. If you search "Larry Graham Shoulda Coukda Woukda" on YT you'll find it. The lyrics are very sweet. You will here Prince singing too and his guitar. He should have done the lead vocal though

Great song. Larry's baritone sounds good to me on this one, but would love to hear Prince's solo version.

There are some quality songs on 'Raise Up'.

Yes, hearing Prince's backrounds on the song indicates that his version would be fantastic. I have no doubt this was origingally his song. They lyrics are so "him", and Larry's been happily married for years, so the song fits more with Prince's experience.

let's hope his version is on an album like 'welcome 2 america' or something like that
and it will see a future release. because it's a great song. just unfit for listening due
to larry's horrible vocals.

Sorry, my fault! One thought often leads to another thought, which sometimes creates a diversion from the specific topic... confused

Maybe if we ever get an official release it might be a more finished version of the song because

to me the version we have doesn't sound like a finished song to me. Maybe he wasn't done with the song.

I thought it was supposed to be included on the original Crystal Ball release, but I may be mistaken.

It was on the first configuration of Dream Factory, already dismissed on the second configuration.
