All of these items are from the Archive of Prince's personal body guard. There is even paperwork for sale on the Bentley. His white light up tennis shoes too and clothes?

People he trusted now have these items in their possession?

From the description, the bible was a gift from a Witness while he was on tour. There's a real chance that he just passed it off to the bodyguard after receiving and forgot all about it. Same with most of the "Prince owned" passes and promo items. (But that dude definitively stole those clothes and the drum cover from Paisley. )

And Prince even said he knew people stole from him. No wonder he didn't trust anyone.

My point was more that this guy could be lying and trying to pass off random things he collected from touring around with Prince as "Prince owned" important artifacts. I doubt Prince was wearing around security badges or keeping a promotional camera from a batch he told them to destroy. There's no marking or sticky notes in the bible that proves Prince carried it around while on tour so the only word you have is the word of a thief.

It is also odd, it is the New World Translation but they have gold gilting around the edges not red, so that has kind of thrown me off- unless in the UK the Bethel there printed with red - but in Australia all bibles had Gold Edging and you can see Gold Edging on the ones Prince has had his photo with in the US too. Anyway, this guy could have picked up that Bible from any second hand shop - and trying to pass it off. Who knows.

I would guess Ben received a cease and desist from PP as a result - maybe could frame that and stick it on eBay as well?

Yes, Romeo is from Texas but the backstage passes are from 2006-2009 and I dont

think Romeo was his bodyguard then.

I agree with people selling Prince's stuff if they want to. Even if they keep it, what if they get evicted and it goes on the streets? What if they die and their kids (if they have them) don't want it? Someone who is religious and loves Prince will cherish that Bible. Collector's are the best archivists anyway, because they care about the item. And if they sell it, so what? No one lives forever.

Timeline might be a tad off there.

"pFUNK" was written and released in later 2007. Prince's squabble with fans sites, photos, etc began well before that, well back in the late 90s and early aughts during NPGMC.com/ 1800Newfunk.com days. Site after site was attacked (including a radio station I had in 2002 playing concert bootlegs 24/7). It was first streamed on PrinceFansUnited (ergo the p in pFunk). It was written inside of 48-hours of the site going live.

That's just horrible.....

Just seen on Entertainment Tonight where they mentioned this auction. They didn't give the body guards name, but they said that the Estate is requesting the return of all of Prince's personal items.

another total cunt [sorry to use that word BUT needs must] selling his things. Like most I think selling his Bible is as low as you can get.

Rumor has it, that it is Raul, P's former BG. Anyway the Estate is requesting it's items back.

It does look like there is 1 bid on the Org Note, maybe it's Ben who wants it.

Sad that they are selling his personal travel Bible.
