Prince covering Sex Machine Help me out folks. I heard a boot from my personal collection some years ago of Prince doing an after show in Europe where he covers James Brown’s Sex Machine. It was very funky. Starts off with a thumbing bass and then Prince comes in playing the guitar. I’ve searched high and low for that boot at the house and I can’t find it no place. Anyone remember the name, or tour our anything else to help me find it. Thanks!

New Morning Club '87.
My holy grail would be a soundboard of that show. Though there is more chance of finding the cup of Christ i think.

nvm Release Date Never has NPG covering Sly & The Family Stone Sex Machine
29th May 1994 (am) Glam Slam, Minneapolis
Things start very well indeed with a heavy insistent riff from Prince and his guitar. The scene is well and truly set as the bass and keyboard coming it, and it has a full blooded raw sound which I always like. This cover version of Sly Stones Sex Machine is well chosen, and for those fans of Princes guitar work there is plenty to enjoy and admire. He warms to his work, slow and steady with plenty of groove. It certainly has that aftershow vibe about it, the guitar moves in and out as the music swirls around it. [Edited 6/16/18 18:18pm]
