Did I miss something? I didn't see any details in the articles about the "drama" that the court docs say occured.

there was hella drama about the 2008 gigs (not necessarily Prince's fault, that one ) so they were trying to prepare for a repeat of that at the worst, and then when he had that bad gig in cologne the night before i'd imagine there was a lot of worries.

I was at the Malahide Castle gig. He put on one hell of a show that night. The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble was his opening act and they were fantastic too. Prince opened the show with Gold, which I wasn't too familiar with at the time because I wasn't really a Prince fan yet, and halfway through the song he stopped and apologised for the cancelled Croke Park gig and said how he regretted how long it took for him to return to Ireland. It wasn't just the main concert that was great either. He did a soundcheck that was basically a full gig. I remember he played a bit of Laydown during it but he never played it during the main set which is a shame because it sounded great live. Much funkier than the album version. All in all, it was a great show. I'm not sure how it qualifies as "infamous" though.

The real news is this... Prince at the Castle airs on RTE Radio One at 2pm this Saturday. Is this broadcast quality performance circulating?

It was kind of funny seeing half the audience sing along and the other half scratching their heads wondering what song he was singing.

Was it bad? Was it a bunch of people bitching and moaning? I don't have the heart to listen to that. I feel bad for those fired. But then again, after the sound problems he was having in Europe, I can imagine he thought he might as well hire the locals to rig the sound rather than his american crew. I am glad he played 30 songs that night instead the one or two they feared he would and had a great soundcheck as well.
