questlove's wonderful description of merits of repetition and rehearsal. in Prince's world.. NIce clip he provided of rehearsal. Prince uses Denise to rehearse and there is some humor here as well. But he makes a valid point about the point at which endurance and repetition and knowing a piece of music until its second nature can lead to further moments of inspiration and creative improvizations. Nice tribute.

I also tried to create a thread about LIsa Coleman's beautiful (simple in the best sense) tribute to PRince but it got moved to associates...I just want to direct folks there. ...it made me cry..literally.
I feel like his birthday has been much more of a reverent time than it could have been. I am grateful for that.
Also, there was a story about Manuela and Andre giving instruments to a school today in honor of PRince's birthday. What a lovely thing to do.
