I have a use for the Egg Building Why not make it the permanent home of the Symbol Stage?
Finish the building out and make it an hands-on interactive tour with history, videos, equipment and a chance to be Prince and the Band. For a fee wear an NPG/ Prince outfit (various sizes of course). And live the dream. Come up the trap door or down, replica instruments, and to a soundtrack Recreate the Super Bowl or Musicology, etc.. That would make money don’t you think? The Egg is too small for that. It would make a fine cafe or merchandise store. Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

I always thought it would be a great way to display outfits and guitars in a chronolgical order. SMall video displays could show clips from performances. Escalators could take guest to multiple layers. PP could change outfits randomly. Kinda like the Beautiful Experience on a smaller more intimate scale.

Well the stage in some area of PP would be great. I like you chronological order display idea. No More Haters on the Internet.

I would like to see the Egg turned into a bed & breakfast.

Merchandise and snack bar would be a bad idea. Great if you just want a tee shirt and not a tour. No More Haters on the Internet.

This is probably the best idea we have come up with so far. Like if you only had a little while in town, and couldn't do the whole tour. Also would be a nice low-cost kind of experience for kids or teens so we can introduce them to our purple genius! Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

Maybe everyone who tours has to take an egg. It is placed in the Egg, and thence over time, once it is full, a huge pancake is made. Not for breakfast, but for elevenses. Comin str8 outta Preston...

I love this idea--make it a permanent Prince mini-museum. Great addition to PP. Or even a separate venue for young bands. Who knows? Lots of possibilities... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I realize this is all make believe.... but . Has anyone checked with the building department and checked local zoning regulations? I have a feeling that turning that building into an public assembly area with today’s IBC building standards, they are probably better off bulldozing it and starting fresh. . Just a thought, DD

I'd hate that. I'd like to see it finished and turned into a workable building... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Knock it down and build something useful in that area. An exclusive b and b, a restaurant, a souvenir shop, etc.....There's many things that could be done but not sure the building currently there is worth keeping.
Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end
