Exactly...Chaos is decent, Come is mixed, 3121 is consistent in quality songs...I'm not trashing albums by saying "mixed bag" in my original post...."mixed bag" can contain classic songs rubbing shoulders with sub-par material. Sometimes, a mere issue of sequencing can effect an album.

For me they were all mixed bag except for The Black Album. I love every single second of that one.

Yes, me too (I feel the same way about DM, 1999 and ATWIAD though). The Black Album is very focused.

Now that’s an EDUCATED answer. I consider Controversy (my number 1 album) and Batman both faultless classics and this post screams new fan... if you want to look at patchy-ish albums look at 2003-2008. These two above mentioned are probs my two least favourite.
