No, the OP said "The one he played throughout his career.". So was mistaken in naming the Fender tele in the thread description.

This is all conjecture on your part, backed up by very little other than hot air. I know the book was full of mistakes, that doesn't mean everything is a mistake. You are slightly misrepresenting what they said about the TE-Prinz too, by the way.

. . BUT. It just doesn't compare to the real MadCat, especially to the limited edition (of 25) that I've already ordered. As soon as it arrives, I'll be selling my TE Prinz. I can hardly wait. Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

Pretty cool, congrats! I find the sycamore top of the limited one a bit too "stripey" for my tastes but it looks more like the TE Prinz finish in that respect. Looks like a great guitar though. I also have a TE Prinz and a vintage re-issue Madcat arriving soon so we're in the same club

. I'm not misrepresenting anything what they say about the TE Prinz. I've seen the exhibition and I've read what they wrote about that guitar next to it. I've also seen the video of the exhibition's curator holding the TE Prinz in her hands and claiming that was the guitar Prince played throughout his career. I've also spoken to Paisley Park about it and they have admitted their mistake. Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

. So because you're interested in the Hohner MadCat, you prefer to have the title of the thread say "Fender Telecaster" instead. Okay... Minor detail We know what they meant, I guess you could change that part.

But it’s supposed to be left over wood from the eighties so that’s cool. I got my 2017 MadCat reissue #17 of 30 from Mesa Boogie earlier this year in Feb. Absolutely gorgeous guitar and so well made. I can’t find a flaw Anywhere on the guitar, and it was perfectly setup right out the box. Welcome to the club.

. You certainly know your stuff when it comes to Prince’s guitars. Like I said before, someone needs to ask Dez or Andre. I’m sure those guys know the real story about the Hohner. Please post pics of your MadCat when it comes in. I would love to see it. It seems to take forever, I know mine took over 6 months to get after ordering.
