Ive always thought prince's voice was more soulful than a rough timbre that I think works best in rock although I know he could make it sound rough as fuck like in the sign of the times dvd when he sounds almost possessed playing IT his voice is naturally really smooth and silky obviously he possessed a huge range high notes werent a problem but his timbre i always thought was more suited to soul and RnB maybe Im alone in this what do you think?

Love his rock style. I guess I'm biased as I think he sang everything very well
