I do not think Chris would lie about that....but consider this... Prince did perform Soft and Wet during the Parade shows...maybe that was a clue?

i'd never heard that prince called chris, he was really important to prince, as were all the guys right up to purple rain, they all did their share and better yet, prince seemed to know when to leave them, which weaker men, (like elvis) always had a problem with. Prince was as cold and unloyal as he had to be to grow, thank god for that.(don't want that misinterpreted).

The fun part was Prince insisting not to be called Prince. Imagine of Moon had agreed to market Prince as Mr. Nelson?

Financial settlements?

That might have something to do with "My Love is Forever" which Moon wrote the lyrics for. But they seemed to have decided to trade that for "Make it Through the Storm."

also: who knows how well accounted for Moon's share of the royalties for Soft and Wet were kept. With it being on 3 other albums (the Hits, Very Best of, and the MC Hammer thing) there could have been some disagreement as to how much was owed.

i hear you but Prince did a lot of things that don't make sense to us, we are outside of the situation. Maybe he realized how lucky he was to meet Moon/Husney who actually got his foot in the door, who knows how many years it would have taken him on his own.

Absolutely.
It's never just about how talented you are, there is always a bit of luck and circumstance involved. For example, a lot of folks forget how important something like networking is.

could be man, shit happens, i never got that vibe but ya, i'm on board, shit is rife. Even in a sport like boxing where a sixteen year old kid like sugar ray leonard could kayo most grown men in seconds, he was manipulated into being molested for cash. I never did believe his claims that he let the guy go only so far, i think he probably went the whole nine fucking yards, and then other amateur boxers mentioned how it was something that happened in the sport. Possible, yes, never got that vibe off of Moon.

on the other side my brother, I've thought of training young kids because I would love it, but I won't do it because of freaks like that. I don't need to do it. I barely have time to train myself.

I just had to laugh reading your comment after having just read a quote in the article "... put a pillow on the studio floor, and I said, ‘Lay down, put your head on the pillow.’ I covered him up under a blanket and made a little bed for him in the middle of the studio."
