Nothing Compares 2 U was an absolute brilliant surprise from the estate and WB. It is so nice to have this sublime version available for all the world to finally hear. I began thinking about this as a potential plan for what to do with the wealth of materials they continue to discover at Iron Mountain.

How about releasing a single “Song From The Vault” every month? This can be part of a yearly discovery that eventually gets packaged as an album with a theme/title/etc. This way you could give attention to each song, give each song artwork, and let fans digest the song for a month before the next one is released. This also provides time for proper mastering of the songs, as well as, allowing them to start releasing some of the songs that are ready to go.

I’m probably not the only one who would buy the songs each month and the complete “album” at the end of the year. This could be marketed to all streaming and digital sites. The estate could sell the tracks in both mp3 and FLAC form. The beauty is the estate could even pull a Prince and market the album release to the highest bidder each year. The estate could branch off in various directions with other yearly release that can go along with this approach without getting in the way.

Thoughts?? Get the word out?? I’m beyond ready to hear what’s been in storage for so long.
