There's also tape boxes on the floor in Studio B. Larry Graham recordings from 2001.
And a very random REEL 20 from "NORTH CAROLINA" MAY 27, 2010 by a stack of mail.
- edit Jeez, and the '21 NIGHTS MASTER O2 TAPES' just sitting on top of a random shelf, a hard drive box marked 'USED LONDON 2007' and 4 boxes marked 3121 (plus some other things I can't make out). The room that looks like an editing bay with a Metropolis poster on the wall
- edit And spotted in the Green Bedroom, a 16 GB USB drive marked ATL SHOW 1 & 2 [Edited 4/21/18 23:04pm]

It will never all be released in or lifetime. Once things are straightened out and we start getting a couple releases per year we still will not make it through all that is there in the pics. When Prince said there is a second and third vault I'm guessing the basement vault was full and he started filling up other room at PP. Last time there it looked clean and sadly it was sounding like they were already planning a museum. They did minitours and I got in 3 of them. Seeing pictures of outside of Vault area it looked a little more messy than I remember seeing it in the 90s. I also have a sad feeling when I see the tech was outdated and PP was trapped in time. Last time at PP I wore my NPG Hockey Jersey. Trevor chatted me up. He wanted to know if it was a bootleg. I sort of said, no it was sold from here back when Prince had merch that was cool as fuck. I like Trevor and Donna good people. I think a lot of people were in the dark or he randomly used for concerts. Most people PP were probably not born when the NPG jersey was made. Then I actually ran into the man that took the order to make the Jerseys! He had stories that Prince designed Hockey jersey and his assistant showed up wanting them in all these colors and it was a big deal for them. Anyways will be happy the day we start to see releases from the Vaults! What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

Lovely. WB would too have copies of stuff while under contract. I know they had some stuff too that he did not according to the people working at PP back in the day. Another thing that crossed my mind. At one point didn't they start to bake tapes and move to digital? Then they stopped. I wonder how much of that was done and if that effected the layout of whats in Vault 1? What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

Various VHS inc Wembley 1990. It all seems a bit scattered. I thought he documented and saved everything. I have been impressed by how much he saved in terms of old stage costumes. Hopefully they took care of thr music and videoes in the same way. The wooh is on the one!

These are the sorts of threads on the org that make me happy. Not focussing on petty arguments.
Just a focus on the music, and deepening the research and the legacy.

Yep, it’s no wonder things went missing and ended up in bootlegs. So little care and organisation... didn’t any of his associates or staff think to do a bit of a regular tidy of the place. It’s so amateur.

Paisley Park has been pretty much a one man operation for a number of years now. It stopped functioning as a professional studio back in the 1990's and went through a period of time where even he virtually abandoned it. The building itself fell into disrepair (some of the in the vault pics show water stains running down the walls). By the looks of things, once he was pretty much on his own in the place, things were just left where they landed and were rarely touched afterwards (see the VHS tapes laying around on desks - a format that was pretty dead at least 15 years ago). Beyond clutter, though, I suspect he probably didn't put much if any effort into documentation of files, drives, etc. Knowing titles, dates, credits, etc. may be a daunting task for unreleased work post-WB.

Keep in mind- none of the photos would show any post-WB work, because that stuff was probably recorded digitally. Hopefully, that stuff is in better shape.

Have you found many previously unknown titles? The wooh is on the one!

Given that just about half of all the "new" songs released so far were songs previously released in some form and out of all the song titles we can see only a few are unheard songs, I am wondering just how fast the vault is. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"
