the 'other room' you see on the far wall, with the rainbow on the ceiling, is actually a mirror!

in the vids on the vogue instagram you get glimpses of the entire room and the ceiling above
the room has a huge rectangular alcove (?) that is painted with the rainbow all around.

so in the reflected image in the mirror it looks a lot smaller.

Yeah, you're right. The rainbow in the back is a reflection of the ceiling in the bed area. It seems his bed area was actually in the pyramid area at the back of Paisley Park, and extended up the side of the building. The bedroom is rather non-descript, actually. Sorta plain, bits of whatever here or there, but no real cohesive feel or layout. Yet as someone mentioned, it's so him.

That bed is still horrid. lol

Those flowers in the hall on the floor and in another area, I believe, are from the Lovesexy tour. At the beginning of the second act, when everyone is being 'created' or 'born again', Cat dances around the stage. Flowers pop up around the perimeter of the stage, almost like the garden of Eden being created. That's what those flowers are from. Which shows Prince really did keep everything.

I wonder if he doesn't have that basketball hoop and swing set somewhere in storage, too.

The room looks so different now. Kinda sad. I think the last time we got a glimpse of it was in the 1995 Love 4 One Another special and before that was the Omnibus show.

Mirrors overlooking beds have other uses of course. I’m not sure that feng shui was at the forefront of his thinking here.

They are in an office area with a larger desk, and a meeting area, but it wasn't this bedroom.

And any other bedroom featured in those videos was in the Galpin house, not Paisley Park (like the dining room area, the hallway, etc.)

I'm 100% sure. Watch closely. You'll see the two square windows that are now on the wall with the bed. To the right you'll see the two narrower windows - the one on the left is a regular window and the one on the right goes down to the floor because it's actually a door to the outside. Now go look at Paisley Park and look at on Google maps in 3D. You'll the door I'm talking about - it goes to that small roof/patio area. In the Gangster Glam video, you'll see the bed 90 degrees to the left - on the right side of the bed is the window that faces towards Audobon Road and on the left is the door with the stained glass. It's the same room - the bed is just positioned different and there's been some remodeling. For example, the old closet door in the corner has been replaced with a normal door now and they've put crown molding around it. Other than that, it's the same room but with the drapes added and the rainbow painting to the skylight.
