Opinion on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack ? I understand that film isn't everyone's cup of tea and that it's not princes most celebrated work but the soundtrack is really great, The Time, Mavis Staples, Tevin Campbell and George Clinton have some really great songs on the album. in my opinion the album/soundtrack is very underrated... What does everyone else's think ?

I was a HUGE Prince fan in 1990 in high school and remember buying the album eagerly from the base Navy exchange (I was in Japan) and being... Pretty underwhelmed. It didn’t have the gritty, lived-in, Earthy-grit of Purple Rain. It was too shiny and “clean”. Years later when I heard the original 1981 versions of Cant Stop... and Tick, Tick, Bang I liked them a lot better.
