Thanks

I still think those couple of DJ mixes that came out off the back of Issue 50 way back in 2012 are some of the best I've heard. They contained stuff like Dance Electric and Roadhouse Garden. Anyone else remember what I'm talking about? I still listen to them now. 1 hour of non stop funk each

You better order it online. This mag is hard to find in the stores. Remember seeing these kind of mags at Tower Records and at newstands. Not anymore.

Cool. I know we get this later in the states than in the UK. Anybody know when it'll be available here?

Beautiful cover. I do wonder though if other magazine editions devoted to a single artist have so many pictures of other artists he worked with featured so heavily and only cover a third of his career timewise. Oh, well, any attention is good attention.

BTW, JIll JOnes just posted stuff on twitter about this magazine and her album was listed by a critic on there as one of the five best albums of the 80's. Damn, that seems high considering all the great albums by not only prince (as lead singer) but others of that decade as well. I don't want to only read a bunch of tea (with Jill and apparently Jesse being featured so heavily) ... a bit weary.

For those of you holding out to get it at the newsstand there is this from the WaxPoetics Facebook page

"Wax Poetics is no longer publishing and distributing as a traditional newsstand magazine any longer. While we had every intention to continue as normal with Issue 67, this fall we realized we would not be able to and had to cease magazine operations.

We and our writers worked very hard on the new Prince Issue, so we are happy to offer a print edition in a hybrid journal form with no ads, available as paperback and hardcover as a Print-on-Demand product from Amazon. Presale is available on our webstore now."

So it looks like it will only be available online.

Michael A. Gonzales posted the following on Twitter:

"After a wait that felt like forever, @waxpoetics #67 is about to hit the stage in a new format. This issue features my profile with @jilldjones, whose self-titled album is in my top five of '80s releases. Jill and I went deep into her history, leaving few purple rocks unturned."

$24.95 I’d be willing to pay. $54 for shipping to the UK is a definite no for me, though. Maybe if it turns up on amazon or eBay...

lol well obviously I do.

I still appreciate her place in the purple continuum

I wouldn't want her name in a book like this to be associated with that

it looks really bad in the long run

Nothing she can say now can be any worst then what she said in the past.

Come on now she let the whole world know that she was happy to almost be a mistress.
