I am angrier this year and getting more and more impatient...I think it is a byproduct of being sad about the lack of justice, the lack of wide official release of music and concert footage, the lack of new funny or profound stories, and the upsurge of tell-alls and painful fentanyl reports. I feel like the best of him is becoming forgotten.

Speaking of Celebration, wasn't the estate planning to do another big event? Could have sworn I read about them planning Xenophobia for the Summer or Fall.

I just miss him...as simple as that. The only way I can kind of describe what Prince’s music means to me is to say that when I listen, all else is wiped out in my mind and it’s like I am recharging myself somehow. It’s what helps me through everything and it has for 33 years so it probably always will, forever in my life 💜💜💜

This period in 2016 was absolutely awful. I sobbed for 5 days and then decided I had to pull myself together otherwise I wasn't going to be able to work. I managed. Playing his music on the piano a lot helped. There were many tracks though that I couldn't listen to.
Last year I was sad and this year too. It's easy to let tears fall, which I think is better than pushing the feelings away. I think the older you get, death becomes a mixture of all the people you've known and know who are no longer here and who might not make it to their "Last December." For Prince, the two years could be two weeks. I listen to Prince and all other music and can now listen to the tracks I couldn't listen to in the first year he was gone. I'll still always be pissed off he was in the elevator. Let's go crazy on the PR Deluxe album gets a lot of play and re-play in my car
This week I'll be commemorating Prince through my twitter and blog and started with one today. https://tahiti67.blogspot...s-but.html It's about Prince having music for all seasons, unlike commercial radio.
There is a Prince exhibition in town at the moment but I just can't pull myself to go and look at his things/beautiful clothes and guitar in glass cases. It seems too creepy and an invasion of his privacy. I appreciate that for others it might be different and that it feels like a celebration of his artistry. But I'm gonna just stick to the music. It feels better.
Peace and be Wild

I was just thinking it feels like I am more alone in my grief this year, no one on any media outlet is really doing any tributes or Prince days etc. I have a movie day with my daughter planned and my husband will be out of towm, maybe thats for the best, he never says anything but I do nit think he would want to sit thru a Prince movie marathon Tilikum1983

TrivialPursuit said: Stop ritualizing his death and celebrate his life, legacy, and music - that's my reaction. I respect that but everyone deals with death in their own unique way and whatever helps that person is what is best for that person. I have found in my experiences that people who started listening to or watching Prince at a really bad time in their lives react differently than people who just found the music and loved it Tilikum1983

luvsexy4all said: ..and still no releases (or even news about) to coincide..... I just saw something the other day about the fabled memoir that will be coming soon but yea I thought we woukdsee more than a couple reissues by now aa far as music went but as long as the estate and everyone keeps disagreeing then it will not happen. Its sad because not at any point whem he was alive from his first album on did he ever go this long without an album release it almost seems disrespectful that nothing new has come out Tilikum1983

But didn't Prince say in one interview to celebrate the day he transitions and not the day he was born?
