Whatever keeps those dollars rolling in will be the new order. As far as i care Taylor can make an album of Prince covers, won't pass these ears here. I know that much.

I'll never understand why people expend so much energy gatekeeping and trying to dictate what other musicians/artists should and shouldn't do. Taylor could cover Prince's entire discography and quite frankly, I wouldn't care, because nobody is forcing me to listen to it. If anything, it would potentially turn a lot of new people onto Prince's music, but I'm sure a lot of people in this fanbase are too snobby to 'share' their beloved Prince with some Taylor Swift fans . I totally get it, I used to be one of those snobby people, but I promise yall that it feels so much better to just stop caring and let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. Let artists cover whoever they want to cover. It ain't hurting you in any way whatsoever.

These endles books being published after Prince's death from opportunistic vultures from his first wife, first manager, first butler would damage Prince's legacy more than a mediocre pop singer covering Prince's music ever could. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

Would Prince laugh or roll his eyes and walk away? No More Haters on the Internet.

The thing is, NOTHING compromises Prince's legacy at this point (unless we found out someone else wrote and performed all his songs, and I think we're safe from that). Whatever happens to his music from this point on, nothing can change the fact that the man never compromised, owned his art, and did things his way until the very end. No book, no cover song, no commercial usage or anything else can take that away from him now. His battles are over and he won.

It's a sweet cover. Taylor haters protest too much

My thought is the estate should, as best they can do what Prince would do.
Thus there should never be a Kardashian release of a Prince song, and no hotdog commercial with 1999 playing in the background. The estate can make $$$ without proving Prince really would have liked different next of kin. [Edited 4/16/18 1:57am] No More Haters on the Internet.

On Swift's cover of "September":
"With this cover she some how managed to unite people of all races and creeds together through their hatred and distaste of this song."
