Isn't she, sorry, thàt the ugliest ... ever seen ?

-

she did a Prince song once, remember "With this tear" ?

I wonder if Prince version will pop up one day.

If not...

Someone please call her and offer her 50 bucks for Prince's original copy.

And throw it on the net.

She might need the $. wink

AS bad as it was (and it was pretty bad) I think it is heartfelt.

So go girl (at 500K PER NIGHT)

Just. Fucking. Stop.

I remember her butchering Adele's "Hello" shortly after it came out. WTF is wrong with her? Does she not have anyone around her that says, "You know baby girl, maybe we should try something else. That is not ringing well for you on stage."?

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

LMMFAO. WOW, is that bad! Just off-the-charts bad.

Oh Lawd!! Celine tends to be a little over-dramatic in her performances (okay, maybe a lot). lol

.

It's like she was trying to be sexy with the guitar guy -- it's not a song about making love! LOL lol

Come on though, that's probably the only time that guitarist ever got to play a guitar solo live, he looks delighted.

Captain obvious. But as far as covers go I'd rather listen to that girl.

And if it were Prince's version I'd rather listen to the original 1983 First Avenue recording than the album version.

her too!...that look on her face and the way she walks (stalks?) up to him at about 3:20, while he's soloing, looks like she wants the 'D' right there onstage

My point was who gives a raving fuck about a cover? We've yet to ever really hear a great one of any Prince song - one that gives Prince a run for his money as the original artist. Some have gotten into the playing field (maybe D'Angelo and 1 or 2 others), but no one has ever been invited onto the pitch to take a swing at it.

The differences between First Ave and the overdubs on the album are minimal, in my opinion, so it's basically the same version. (Although there is one drum edit that doubles a snare that just bugs the living shit out of me on the album version.)

By the way, that chick playing it on her guitar was terrible IMO.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Poor Celine Dion.

Getting so much shit over her.

Well, thing is, she can sing. Yep, she has 'the technique'.

But she lacks soul, street, weirdness, she somehow doesn't 'get it' wen it comes to music imho.

I should better shut up.

Cause,

there's a crowd who loves her. Who very likes what she does.

Who am I ?

... but she must not touch Prince's Purple Rain !

wink

She does certain types of songs very well. She just needs to stay away from Prince! lol
