"The estate" has done no such thing. The only video on the official Prince YouTube channel is the official release.

Yes, maybe the estate itself didn't put it up, but WB did ... Vevo (which partners with YouTube) uploaded the video as "Extended Version". YouTube's mirror page has the exact same version without the "extended" subtitle on it.

There is a differently edited version I saw years ago that uses the radio (single edit) mix.

It's the Album-Version.

Not (as some might think) the unreleaed Extended-Version.

It does seem official. But it is not the extended version it is just the video version. I can not see a list of their videos as their interface sucks. But I did not see anything that is Not on the YT channel.
