I've only heard of 2 Unreleased films in Prince's Vault. The Second Coming movie and the 3121 movie. The latter's trailer surfaced online a few years ago.

The Second Coming is known as to be incompleted/not finalized ..if my memory is right...only few film rushes were filmed!!

Considering his last released movie was Graffiti Bridge, I don't think I even want to know about any movies he might have made that he felt weren't good enough for release.

It would be hard for a complete motion picture production like "Purple Rain" to be made and nobody noticing.

.

There's probably lots of films like "Love4OneAnother"; it was cool how back in the day we got a movie or concert film with nearly every album!

That's what is in there, is just long-form music videos, more than likely. Purple Rain and Under The Cherry Moon were a professional Hollywood films with a full on cast and crew, whereas shit like Graffiti Bridge was him playing w/ his new camera equipment.

Not sure we got a movie or concert film with every album. We didn't.

Sign O The Times was the only real concert film, and it only existed because he lost interest an refused to tour in the US for it - one of his biggest blunders.

Lovesexy Live was never released or aired in the U.S. to my knowledge.

There were video compilations for Diamonds and Pearls and prince of course.

The Beautiful Experience really encompassed music from The Gold Experience, COME, and stuff that ended up on Crystal Ball.

He would have fared better had he put together more videos and such for Emancipation and Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic the latter of which took nine months before a video for the worst song on the record to show up, yet stronger single-worthy tracks like "So Far So Pleased", "Prettyman", "Hot With U", "Baby Knows", "Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do" remained largely ignored. The PPV special was so hackneyed I wonder why he even bothered.

Love 4 One Another and The Beautiful Experience were the best of their kind, IMO.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

No, I didn't. The Second Coming, 3121, and CB were never released. We don't know the status of any of that.

And Prince only retained the performance footage. He never even asked for the skit footage

For "The Second Comming" last I heard was that Prince had called the filmmaker and asked for the concert footage back...but not the day or two... or a few... of story elements.

I also suspect most of the 'movies' are more long-form videos like "three chains of gold"

Nobody seems to remember but me, but they did film a prince concert in IMAX in the mid 90s, but shelved it. I dont' know if it's in the vault or not, but the film has to be out there somewhere.

these are the ones I can remember?

Second Coming

(Welcome to)The Dawn

The Hard Life

Undertaker

Rainbow Children

Life of The Party

3121 (the movie)
21 nights at the O2

Welcome 2? (I think this is part of what they will use for the thing this April)

But there was tons of footage from several of the concert tours... of the shows, backstage, sound checks, and rehearsals.

in the 90s a friend of mine said they were in something being filmed at Glam Slam LA...

another guy I knew was a dancer for Prince and he said there were many things shot at PP. Most of the time he did not even know what it was for...

WTF? I'm almost tempted to watch it and see what thought process led to deciding, "Wow, Ibiza is perfect! But do you know what would make it even better? Heroin!"
