"Just My Imagination" doesn't faze me because I always associate The Temptations with that song. The Prince song that will always get me is "Sometimes It Snows In April." Always...every time. I was playing my XBOX online listening to music through headphones and "Black Muse" came on. Now "Black Muse" usually doesn't stir up any emotions but I started thinking about the song and Black Muse was Prince and I started tearing up...by the time it got to 1000 light years from here tears were streaming down and I didn't realize it. I'm glad my wife was sleep and didn't see it because I didn't want to explain and I don't like talking about Prince's death to people who don't listen to Prince like me or understand................................................................... ............................................................................................................................ Weirdly, anytime I hear "Look at me, Look at you" or "When she comes" they kick my ass every time I listen to HnR2.
It's so clean and musical, no sound effect samples, no over-production, just great music and Prince's voice cutting through so clear and perfect. Just drives home how much he still had to offer the world musically. Goddamn it. [Edited 2/24/18 3:46am] | |
