Carver County to release investigative records to family According to this, they still do not know how he obtained the drugs.
The purpose of the release is for two reasons: (1) so the family can decide if they wish to pursue civil ligitation and (2) the statute of limitations for such a lawsuit may end in 4/21/18.

Carver County Attorney Mark Metz released a statement last month saying he'd object to releasing the data, citing the ongoing investigation. Metz did not return a phone message seeking comment Wednesday, but the agreement filed in Anoka County, where the autopsy was done, bears his signature. Goetz said he expects to receive the medical examiner's autopsy investigation this week. He said he expects a similar agreement to be reached next week on the rest of the investigative files. "We're very pleased we can finally get all the facts and determine what claims we might be able to pursue for our clients for the loss of their brother," he said. *drums fingers* | |

Whether or not, it garners any lawsuits or finds out the orignal source, his family deserves to know who some of the enablers were (or if they know) and what else was going on physically with P in the coroners report. Its a travestry to keep that from them because of an ill-conceived attempt to find out who the drugrunners out of China were.
