Prince's best holy tracks I'm not really a fan of his holy tracks however there are a few gems like the cross, god and the everlasting now that I cant help but like the solo in the latter is a real high point. I'm just like everybody else I need love.....and water.

The Love We Make Love Thy Will be Done We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

"Eye No" is probably my first choice. It is sanctified. Others include "The Cross," "I Would Die 4 U," "4 The Tears In Your Eyes" and "God." Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

The Lyrics stand alone in all his Holy Tracks/songs They are like a Prayer , a meditation and an extremely introspective moment all at once...
I mean...this is just amazing
I had a dream last night
That I was flying for the first time And in the dream I could pilot my flight With the thoughts in my mind Since there wasn't any up or down Everybody was all around When we sang, we all sang together Oh, what a beautiful sound Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song I had a dream last night That I was singing and the sound of my voice Seemed to come from every mountain top Like it had no choice And when my voice rose, so did the sun When the trees sang the harmony as one Every living soul sang the most beautiful Melody ever sung Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song Before the war the only words and language said Let there be light Those that can see it are the ones who believe it And put up no fight And in the absence of fear and control Is the sound of the surrendering soul Louder than the dogmatic persecution I sing it like you got that right Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la Ooh, ooh, sha la la la la This is the future soul song

Prince, Stevie and Megadeth (*Dave Mustaine) took me from a place that i felt where i ridiculed the institution of the church (pre teen) although quietly; to a state where i reflected on how deeeply these teachings made an impact on all those men.
It made me pause and reflect on the teachings of JC and what they meant indirectly. I gained a respect for it that i had never had, when things that were old and irrelevant were forced down my throat 3 hours a week. I realized how much people ARE followers when speaking of my newfound appreciation and finding out that half the people going didn't know wtf was being communicated. Those peeps and anybody that have foremost thanks to God (*to which i reacted skeptically) are an important part of who I've become. Anyways. Had to share that. FAVORITE "praise" (*as they're called now) songs by P SAVIOUR [eye no this one is SECULAR but he describes her as a faith; i don't it for being one of my favorite songs he's ever done] (*I never knew ppl hated that album until i joined P.ORG) The Same December (describes Prince's reverence but suggestion that he wasn't entirely dogmatic...like damn near every other "spiritual" he did) 1+1+1=3 (approaching dogmatism after riding a fine line for years) THe Work The Ladder (*describes the ever reaching and reflective soul entirely) The Greatest Romance Ever Sold Everywhere 7 (dude got me critically/cryptically investigating where I'd heard all that - the book of Revelations) Eye would die 4 U (messianic song) Dolphin (*self identification with the ideals of love; spiritual love, how many songs? How many tongues? How many lives is it going to take to get people to love one another?) - 2nd favorite of such. [Edited 2/1/18 23:34pm] ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫
