there were a video somewhere, its just a storage building as of now.

When I visited PP for a tour, i decided to just march up to the egg and try to peek in a window. I managed to get pretty close before a guard shooed me away. From my limited vantage, it didn't look like there was anything organized or set up in there.

According to Dave Hampton it was used as a storage room. It was going to be a resturant/cafeteria for staff. He said it also has an underground tunnel that takes you into the building so employees would not have to go out in the cold to get to the buildings

Wonder whats in there now? Tyka'nem better took inventory!!!

I've seen inside (a couple of years ago), the structure was not finished and was just an open space. No floors, just the shell of the building. The exterior was also in decay.

Edit: The plans for the building were also for sale after April 2016, according to them it was to be offices and more recording space.

I agree, the pyramind shaped skylight is above and its a 2 story lobby, with the photograph taken on the ground floor. Prince is on the first floor. I love it.

It does not appear that there was very much in the Egg/round building. From the plans, it looks like most of it was for mechanical equipment and storage. I see where there is a "storm shelter", and he had a Salon in there and extra parking -- for guests??

It was used for storage. He saved everything. It's initial purpose was offices, then other projects were considered, but the building never did get finished. The outside is in disrepair. The contents were inventoried per the estate managers. Some items in the building sustained damage due to both the condition of the building, and the lack of properly preparing items for storage. Does the egg sit where the playground used to be? I know I played on that playground during the first celebration in 2000.

The egg was built much later than the rest of the complex, sometime around 1998 - 2000 from what I read. The Playground was built in 1990 for some of the children that belonged to NPG members and I read too that after the Ahmir thing, it sat there for a few years gathering dust until around the Rave era it was bulldozed.
