I also think his music will age well because the creation process behind a lot of his songs is similar to the way music is being created now, and probably will be for a long time in the future. Create a hot/electro beat (linn drum/pro tools) and create your song around it. I could easily see a modern song being created in the way that Prince created a song, rather than the 2 guitars/bass/drums model of the old rock groups. Also his fashion, IMO, is better than a lot of the stuff that came out at the time. I could easily see someone, for example Rihanna, wearing something similar to what he wore in the 80s, like the Lovesexy or Sign o The Times clothes. I know that fashion stuff doesn’t relate to his music at ALL, but it’s just an example of how his legacy will live for a while.
