Never heard this before. Love Grohl. Stern bugs me.

Stern: tells us he's a big Prince fan, but then just spends the whole time trying to put him down. Idiot.
Grohl: gotta love this guy; he's not having what Howard's telling him. To him Prince is the greatest, simple as. End of story.

Surely they have to do The Superbowl Halftime show. I can just see it; they start off with one of their hits and then...Darlin' Nikki!

I love how Dave Grohl tells a story! So funny! lol

.

Could you imagine Prince on-stage with Nirvana back in the 90s? lol

.

Have you heard Chris Cornell's story about Prince? He saw him at the Beverly Hills Hotel once.....funny story. He starts talking about Prince at 9:40

oh PUH-LEEZ

Howard Stern does nothing but say what people think but don't want to say.

I WORSHIPPED Prince.. but yes, he was a f*cking pain in the ass!

It was often frustrating to be a Prince fan... botched releases, over-hyped websites, terrible single choices, .. it was absolutely part of the journey.. but was still so frustrating..

Howard does this to every one and every thing.. he talks about the good and the bad..

Howard's biggest gripe was that he was so excited to see Prince at the Gansevoort Hotel and Prince turned all the lights off.. Howard thought it was stupid (which it probably WAS!) and said screw this.....

Another frustrating turn in the life of a Prince fan... it is par for the course, but is still real.

He has praised Prince so much... SO much.... and no one ever brings it up..

Like when he said that he spent the whole weekend listening to the Batman Soundtrack and that he thought it was the best soundtrack ever... Robin thought he was nuts... but he defended it...

He did a very long tribute to Prince when he died and often says how under-rated Prince is... Fred and Robin sometimes disagree, but Howard always stands his ground on defending his love of Prince's music and admiration of Prince's talent.

He is a huge fan and I really like the fact that he refused to blow smoke up Prince's ass when he was alive..

In fact.. I wish Howard was around when Prince was hooked on drugs.. maybe he would have had the balls to tell Prince "NO" instead of the b*llshit that happened, robbing us all of our hero...uh-oh.. im falling into a rabbit hole...

smile.. thanks for letting me vent.. but seriously - Howard tells the good AND the bad.. not just the bad.

I'm sure Stern is a big Prince fan, but he always has to dig up dirt on people; that's his style -- to stir up drama.

Oh Yes! Well I do remember the org back in the day what you say is true. There were a lot of people who were like on the verge of being fed up...but you know he always pulled you back in. It was a love/hate relationship to be sure with a lot of fans. And yes even as a fan there were many times I was like ????? at certain things he did but you know, gotta love that man....:)

But omg that Chris Cornell story! TOO CLASSIC!

Who the hell has gone to a concert with the lights up the whole time. It was Howard trying to put a negative spin on a show that other people have said was fantastic.

If you did not know Prince or work for him fans have nothing to be frustrated about. He gave it his all 25/7 fucking respect it.
