Since I've never heard most of those songs I have no idea. It could be disastrous because half the songs are substandard, don't fit together or don't work in terms of sequencing. If you're gonna make random lists of songs don't call it "album«, just "dream unreleased tracks for sale on an online store". [Edited 2/28/18 7:57am]

i have collected for ....well forever and I've not heard a lot of these tracks. I'd love to hear this stuff.. My list as follows - only net new songs listed...no diff versions of released songs (e.g. Endorphin Machine, Can't Stop, We can Funk)

Additionally, if we were to consider revised or original versions or even tracks he gave away, there a huge pile - it's obvious songs like Come Home, Open Book or Cool Love are a zillion times better when he does them. This list is enormous...we should see it all.

Finally, we should see the Family Album with his vocals. Many have the tracks now in fairly good quality but that is a Prince album as much as anything else in his own name. As with the others, his versions totally smoke what was released...plus, i like his version of High Fashion with the bass line.

Oh man, how could I forget 'Baby You're A Trip'. I LOVED Jill's version for years...until I heard his. The screaming is amazing...and Jill is the best lady screamer I've ever heard. Prince just kills it.

My real problem with those threads is that y'all are throwing in random lists of songs as if you were compiling the next BFTP. The result would inevitably be a complete mess.

Hopefully, whomever will compile future outtakes compilations will do the work with a little more dedication. It's a huge responsibility. The right approach can be thematic (trying to make it sound like a real album), sessions-based (trying to be faithful to an actual, project-based set of sessions), or even why not anthologies (the best of the vault from Year X to Year Z), but whomever will do it would have to spend a great deal of time listening to the tracks, interviewing engineers and musicians, figuring out what belongs where and how to sequence the songs, etc.

The only thing those threads accomplish is awful setlists for crappy bootlegs, which is why I think they're pointless, and in any case I sincerely hope whomever's in charge of future releases will do a little better than that.
