There is so much wrong with some of the comments in here, I don't even know where to begin. First of all, every decade and era of music has had its share of forgettable pop music. As time goes on, people continue holding up the best artists of each period, and the rest are forgotten or seen as novelties. Just because you don't like the artists on the charts today doesn't mean there isn't a plethora of fantastic music out there waiting to be heard (and thanks to the internet, it's easier to find and listen to than ever before, so there are no excuses). Secondly, you're putting down pop performers for using their sexuality while you're on a Prince message board The dude had undeniable talent but he certainly wasn't above writhing around on a bed himself. Also, did you forget about Vanity 6? Carmen Electra? Prince wasn't above female performers using their sexuality to complement their music, nor is there anything wrong with that. Of course, the objectification & marketing of women is a whole complex issue for another day, but I don't think women should be treated with contempt for embracing their sexuality on their terms.
I love Prince as much as anyone else here, but I think some of his fans (and even the artist himself at times) have very elitist and antiquated views when it comes to music. Let people perform how they want to perform, and let listeners enjoy what they want to enjoy. You and me ain't better than anyone just because we listen to Prince.

Burn this witch - 1st of all, I am a man so can't be a witch, I am a warlock if anything and I do not practice dark arts. 2nd of all burning witches in the civilised (I don't count Kindoki in Congo as Civilised) world stopped around 1750, so remember that before you call me outdated. . 2nd of all my post was a JOKE, Parody, Humour, but you guys are so humourless and serious you took offense to it, I shouldn't have posted it. Silvertongue7 who refers to women in the future as singing asses gets no comments, but my one about bimbos gets WW3. Yeah I thought the org was coming right, but no the PC goonie mob is back. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

And singers like Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kiara and Selena Gomez have done SO much to advance the cause of female equality (Which I support by the way). These women choose these images and they are irresponsible as it influences young girls and women to act this way (Wearing no clothes, singing songs about sexing, dancing, drugs, being available and writhing around on a bed, the sale of those ripped jean shorts that are like 10cm long, shirts saying "Boytoy"). . To me that is more misogynistic than anything I have said or done. Especially as 90% of this music is made by male dominated companies who expect the aforesaid female artists to act that way and promote that negative image that pushes women back to the giggling gingham clad housewives of the 1950s. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Adorecream, you've been on the org long enough to know what subjects are problematic and which ones aren't. And sometimes, even if another poster makes a small remark that's not too cool, it's just not in the same category as ripping someone apart like you did in that post. You should have known better, you DO know better because this has come up too many times before, yet you continue doing the same things. Why? Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end

Because I am flawed, I have issues I guess I try not too, but I have good days and bad days. Some things hit a raw nerve too I guess, and you all know how I feel about degrading music that humiliates and degrades the performers and the fans in my perception (But this may not be other people's and I need to unnastan that). Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Can I just say that my comment was just a dumb joke about the way female celebrities are so oversexualised and how the focus seems to be on their derrières. I did not mean to offend anyone and I apologise if I did...

I completely agree. There's so much great music out there, so many talented new artists. Only you won't find any of them in the charts or on mainstream medias anymore (not that you found only talent there before). But they're out there for anyone to find and the music is as awesome as ever A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

The Gold Experience. Emancipation is very good when it’s good, but I don’t care for half of it (most of disc one, half of disc 3).

Silvertongue7 said: I predict by 2040, Music will be grunting to a beat and the performers will be covered from head to toe in gold and diamonds and wear clothes with ads of corporations like Microsoft, Coke and Trump. That will be the male performers. The women will be completely naked. They will also have been surgically transformed into all-ass. They will be tweaking, singing asses, and all other body parts will be considered superfluous for female celebrities. I'd like to see film director Takashi Miike take a stab at directing a dark disgusting satire about this future reality you've imagined. I can picture it, and even FEEL it. The amorphous body ass blobs still raving backstage about their performance, how'd it go? Their excitement as being "forerunners of the arts" Hell, i can even imagine touching them and feeling vestigial bones inside. .. The film would HAVE TO HAVE A FRIGHTENING SEX SCENE. ..a menage a trois with two assblobs. It would be GENIUS HORROR ♫"Trollin, Trolling! We could have fun just trollin'!"♫
