Piano Solo in "I Would Die 4 U" & scene in Under The Cherry Moon So I'm listening to the long 30-minute version of "I Would Die 4 U". As it rolls on, Prince (presumably) starts soloing on the piano. Then I hear something sorta familiar. At about the 14:15 mark, he starts doing something odd on the piano. The bass also changes a bit, too. It's a weird traveling bassline.
It strikes me that it sounds very much like some crazy background music in Under The Cherry Moon. I think it's the scene outside La Pavillion where Tricky spills the beans about Christopher wanting to marry Mary for her $50M inheritance. At about the 14:36 part comes the piano over that bassline and that is what struck me as familiar.
Anyone ever notice that? Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

The UTCM cue you are referring to is, in fact, an alternate instrumental recording of the track UTCM. It's possible the piano is similar but on a quick listen it didn't struck me. |
