Prince and Stevie Wonder- Maybe Your Baby I just recently heard the Stevie/Prince live collaboration of Stevie’s brilliant funk classic “Maybe Your Baby.” Its mind blowing. The energy in the room is fierce. When the song finally kicks in at the 5:20 mark, Stevie and Prince destroy the stage. Supposedly, Berry Gordy escorted Stevie to the stage. Anyone know the backstory on this historic meeting of two genuises? Has anyone seen any video? https://m.youtube.com/wat...LBNMgFJl9c

This was a charity show after the VH1 Honors. I was fortunate enough to be front & center for this, everyone was floored when Stevie was led out by Gordy. What was cool was that Prince seemed genuinely floored the most like he couldn't believe he was playing with his idol. Prince feigned fainting falling to the floor then looking up in disbelief. It was rare to see him humbled. Seeing arguably the two most talented musicians sharing the mic was not lost on anyone, truly magical.

Wow, that is an awesome story, you were so lucky to see those 2 musical geniuses together! What year was it? I was wondering where the collaboration came from and I love the song and when I heard it on Youtube, I was floored! I also loved P's version he did back in 1994 at the Glam Slam club. This was in 6/94 at the glam slam in LA. The other time he played it was at glam slam Miami I believe.
