Don't forget Marz, that also has a pretty strong political/social message. And as for your question, being a JW, Prince didn't vote and in 2014 there were no presidential elections anyway, so I have my doubts about your theory. Plectrum Electrum is a good but underrated album though.

As a non voting JW, Prince threw any helpful vote he may have had down the toilet. Shouldn't Prince have had no comment on politics after he did that? Sure, he could tell and influence people to vote for this or that via song, but he withdrew HIS own vote voluntarily. So when he did Baltimore, to me it was from an outsider just looking in being seen to do the right thing.

Since when is looking out for people simply an issue of voting every 2 or 4 years? It's not. Change it one more time..

Hmmmm....its possible. Wasn't he friends with Van Jones however? Wasn't Jones in the Obama administration? I have no idea what kind of political ideology Prince had though if any.

i disagree with Prince's non-voting and I dislike when he implied that voting was pointless around 2004, but he did a lot more where Baltimore and Black Lives Matter are concerned than write a song. So your last line is a bit unfair. PLus, Prince was not saying anything about others voting at the end of his life and his one vote wouldn't shake things up nearly as much as his support (financial and otherwise) behind a movement would.
