Great list. My top ten would have to include Somewhere Here On Earth, Way Back Home, Wow and Funknroll. But I wouldn’t know which ones I’d replace from your list. Oh, and Revelation.
He did release a lot of amazing tracks in his final years.

Too much effort haha.
Also, as I said, your list is great, and I would struggle to come up with just ten.

this list always changes for me...but in no particular order, here goes... (I would pick 1000X's and O's but I realize that was originally written in the 90's.

1.) June

2.) Love

3.) Future Soul Song

4.)Glasscutter

5.) Black Sweat

6.) Call my name

7.) Black Muse

8.) Revelation (minus the ending)

9.) Way back home

10.)Breakdown (minus the laser beams)

Honorable mentions (which could easily replace any on the list above if the mood strikes me)--Breakfast Can Wait, TIme, Clouds, Marrying Kind, Look at me look at you, Reflections, Fury, Dreamer, WOW, FunknRoll (from AOA), U know, 3121, Somewhere here on Earth, Groovy Potential, Coma, Pimp, and Circumstance, the Word, Marz, Supercute, The Dance, When I lay my hands on u, Elixir (his live version),

There are a lot...in my opinion. The 2000's didn't have some of the highs of the 90's or the consistant innovation of the 80's, but it was consistent and mostly solid with some mediocre stuff here and there (Planet Earth, MLPS sound, and 20Ten's weaker moments for example).. But it was rarely embarrasing like some of his 90's lower points..imo

Nice! A Hypno fan! Easily a top notch (one of my favorites) it’s from 98 though.
Unless we are counting release dates then it’s definitely top 10 for me millennium wise.

Hypnoparadise was released in July 2001, as part of NPG Music Club Edition # 6 as an mp3 download, credited to (since he had recorded the track prior to reverting to the name Prince). In 2004 it was included as the fifth track on the compilation album The Slaughterhouse.

Initial recording dates are unknown, but the track was believed to have been recorded in 1998-9 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. played a radically-different largely-instrumental version of the track a few times beginning in late December 1998, containing samples also used in Get Wild.

Nice list! (am guessing you may be referring to colonized mind possibly?)

Off the top of my head, I'd probably be looking to include Somewhere Here on Earth, The Song of the Heart, and Look at Me, Look at U ahead of Beginning Endlessly, Avalanche and The Marrying Kind, but hey, it's all good. smile

Hmm, lots of other great songs springing to mind now: June, 1000 hugs n kisses, this could be us, the sensual everafter, and even beautiful strange (if that's 2000).

Black Sweat, Guitar and the reworking of Xtralovable are great fun too. Good grief, there are too many good 'uns to choose from. wink

He packaged himself poorly in a way as well. If he had been more conceptual or thematic with the way in which he chose songs for his album and then promoted/released them well..I have no doubt his later work would be more acclaimed overall..Sure not as much as the 80's, he was too innovative back then but surely with more overall respect. PLus, some of his better songs in my opinion were too limited in their releases and some of his lesser work should have been left in the vault.

So glad songs for AOA are getting love. Especially Clouds. Love this album so damn much. Was going through a weird time when that album was released and it spoke a lot to me, and still does, especially now that he's gone.

Here is my list (in no particular order) :

- Last december

- Wall of Berlin

-Tic Tac Toe

- his version of 'Crimson and Clover'

- From the lotus / Back to the lotus

- Midnight blues ( i love this track, i hope more unreleased psychedelic blues tracks like this from the 3rdeyegirl era will be released soon)

- Cause and effect

- Screwdriver

- Black Muse

- Whitecaps (nice tune, it sounds a little bit like The Pretenders in the eighties)

Special mentions for : Lavaux, Fury, Boom, Red headed stepchild, Boy Trouble (the bass work is remarkable on this track), Ol' Skool Company, She loves me 4 me, Everlasting now.
