Mine arrived in the post on Saturday. I haven't read any of it yet, but the cover is very sturdy with a light gloss. Paper of the interior pages looks to be high quality too.

Mine came yesterday (Arizona-Nevada).
The Chris Moon interview is STELLAR.
he gives great detail and it's obvious he's not saving it all for a book.
It's a stunning publication!

I ordered a copy from Barnes and Noble this morning, arriving on Monday. Thrilled about it.

I got my hardback copy on Tuesday, UK delivery. Took a bit longer than I'd hoped due to short stock levels. Only had a flick through so far, looks excellent, wouldn't expect anything less from WP though. Going to read it properly once I've finished the edition of WP I'm reading just now.

I ordered mine just now and got 10% off and free shipping. I'm in Delaware so we don't pay sales tax either. Thanks for the heads up on this. Looking forward to my copy!!

I loved their last Prince issue and this is also an amazing one as well. An exerpt from my studio sessions book was planned, but they ran out of space and posted it online.

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

It really puts things together.
I had read those details previously: Mr Nelson
Fear of the mic
Bed on floor
Writing Soft and Wet
Purple
Etc
But to read the cohesive narrative was stunning. Prince was a sponge. Others may have told him some of the same things or had similar experiences, but Moon and Husney had advertising experience and taught him a lot. Moon first.

I'm surprised how many new tjhings I have learned from this issue.

Like, in the intervirw with Levi about Diamonds and Pearls, where he talks about how Princen told Tony M that they were trying to create something timeless with the hip hop tracks. Apparently something that people won;t get for a long time, like ( I quote) Picasso.

So one day 'Jughead' might be seen like a Picasso materpiece. lol!

It's been too long since you've had your ass kicked properly:

Yeah that stuff really showed where Prince was at mentally with his music at the time. Like the hype he put on Carmen Electra in the same period.

More about this older japanese issue;

https://magpile.com/wax-poetics/Japan/21/

I bought it in Tokyo two years ago.

Don't speak japanese, but it's a very nice thing to have. Great pictures by the way.

Nice magazine.
