Barack Obama talks about dancing with Prince https://www.rollingstone....ip-w515305
As if there already weren't enough reasons to miss Obama. (No it's not news to me that he's a Prince Fan).

"This was probably three or four months before he died," the former president says in the clip. "And Prince asked Sasha to come up and dance, and she's an excellent dancer. Then Sasha pulls me up, which surprises me because she always mocks my dancing. But I have 'dad moves.' And I think the key is what we call 'staying in the pocket.' Right? You gotta stay in the pocket because I think everybody here knows dads who get out of the pocket, and they're trying stuff that they can't really pull off. They start doing like karate kicks." The former Late Show host laughs off the idea of a grown man using a martial art maneuver as a dance move. "Really?" he asks. "Karate kicks?" But Obama denies using the technique himself, firing back, "Is that one of the things you do?" Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Never ceases to amaze me how easily the masses praise political war criminals (of any side), all of them working under the control of their handlers...banks and military. [Edited 1/10/18 22:27pm]

From Pitchfork.com:
Obama is a noted Prince fan who has called the Purple One “a creative icon.” At his last Halloween at the White House, Obama greeted a child dressed as Prince by singing “Purple Rain.” 😊

History will use real facts and data on actual performance during his tenure which was among the worst in US history going back a long time. Eventually facts will prevail.

You might be right, but I'm not sure, is not quite easy to really know the truth. So many sources and voices all of them saying their own thing, that it gets very difficult to know what's the right one to listen to. [Edited 1/11/18 16:48pm] [Edited 1/12/18 15:31pm]

Not long after Prince left the planet, there was a snippet of a performance where he teased about "dad moves" --it was so funny. I can't find it and perhaps it was taken down by the estate, but that one and the one where a woman he invited on stage to dance chased him onto his piano. That was kind of funny too, though creepy for him.
Maybe someone remembers the Dad Moves clip? "Hold on to your souls y'all. We got a long way to go. Thank you! We love y'all!"

Keeping it to Prince and Obama, I don't perceive Prince as being a political dupe. Prince didn't have much cache at the time as many other contemporary artists, as he was off the public radar. A president is human too and can have personal musical tastes even while being mindful of their image. I am glad that Prince and the Obamas had an interaction no matter how cynical you are.
