I have discovered a few lately that seemed to have slipped under my radar that have become favorites now. One of them is ONA Copenhagen. He and the band were putting on a clinic that night...What an amazing show! What are some of your favs and why?

San francisco 1986 by Sab is a fantastic recording.

Great music and Prince was in a great mood telling stories of getting tapes of the band rehersal and making fun of Wendy leading the band. One of my favorites.

Also, the 1984 Birthday show is in my top 5 of all time. Fantastic show and Pre Purple music not yet released.

I wasn´t there but I saw it on Youtube when it was still up there and think it was a fantastic rendition of that song. It was amazing how he rearranged that song.

Hi Kooleaze ..Is that the one in included in the City Lights Vol 2?

Belgium after show during the Gold era. I recently found the video of that, never knowing it existed, right after Prince died. It was such a full circle moment for me because despite it being an audience recording, it was just such a great show.

I really don´t know because there are so many variations of the City Lights series, some released by different labels, too. I only have the original City Lights pressed CD version.

I saw this rendition of When We´re Dancing Close and Slow on Youtube shortly after Prince had passed away. It was deleted after a couple of weeks.

I'll try to mention something nobody's mentioned yet.

The Final Parade is a pretty cool boot. Last show with the Revolution, everything is on point and Prince nearly blows out his voice. Plus I'm in love with Around The World In A Day -> Christopher Tracy's Parade. Those two go together perfectly.

- Chicago 2 2012 (the 'apology' show. Prince makes up for a shitty first night where he didn't play guitar 95 % of the time with some of the most brutal solos he's ever done; lightning strikes during "Shhh!" and he never looks back. A monstrous "Dreamer" and the definitive take of the blues redux "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" make this one for the ages.)

- First Avenue '86 (the last rehearsal show with the Revolution. A blast from start to finish, including a wild "Head" and a rare Paisley Park.)

- Chicago '93 (opening night of the Act I tour. The NPG is now a well oiled machine and the show is one fire from first to last note.)

- Montreux 2009 (for the stellar sounbdoard quality on From Dusk Till Dawn, plus the fact that Prince flies solo on guitar both shows and just destroys the place.)

- Monaco 2009 (coming on the heels of Montreux, it repeats many of its highlights but has many distinct moments of its own. "Power Fantastic" makes an appearance, and both versions of "Controversy" are the best ever.)

- Rome 2010 (the Italian crowds are the best and add energy to an already solid show)

- North Sea 2011 (Night 1 is a bit staid but Night 2 and 3 are off the charts.)

- Manchester 2014 (The best 3rd Eye Girl show, period. Montreux 3 '13 is great, too, but the initimate venue and the more surprising set list makes this the better of the two. "Something in the Water" is as fiery a performance as he ever gave. Nice bass jam on "Forever in My Life.")

- Portugal 2013 (an underrated show with 3EG. Interesting set list, including (correct me if I'm wrong) the last ever full band performance of "The Beautiful Ones." Nice after show set too with Prince tacking on "Electric Chair" at the end of "The Max.")

- Xenophobia 2002 (all six shows.)

- Coachella 2008 ("Creep," plus the whole show just feels like a microcosm of everything that made Prince great.)

- Hawaii 1996 (great show from the final run of the original NPG. Prince finds new life in "Do Me, Baby." "Vicki Waiting" goes over very well.)

- Mobile 1997 (Halloween in Alabama. For a tour I never look back on fondly, this is a great show; most surprisingly considering the period, it features the best ever live version I've heard of "When Doves Cry." Seriously, it's terrific.)

#1: 1984 Birthday Show. If "Something In The Water" doesn't move you, you need to seek medical attention. Immediately. This show just "sounds" like he is about to be HUGE. And he was. There is nothing better than this, in my humble opinion.

#5: Detroit '82. Great sound and a great 1999-era show. This show just "sounds" like a cult artist who was preparing to break through. And he was.

#6: Pittsburg '81. A great Controversy-era show. Good sound.

#7: Detroit '86. Just a great Parade-era show.

#8: Montreaux 2013: Amazing sound, amazing setlist(s).

#9: The Hit N Run Shows from Louisville and Detrot '15 (there are 3, I think). AMAZING sound. These are a good collection of nearly every hit performed live with great soundboard quality.

Such a shame that the SOTT performance of this bottleg aren't in pristine quality like the SOTT rehearsals in dic 01 and 02.

Wonderful version, beautiful and powerful. The best performance in that show or one of his very best for that matter.
