Well, maybe because she's something that coudl'nt possibly exist, yet does? Robyne Robinson means that she's her own son. Let not yourself be fooled by the spelling: Robyne Robinson = Robin Robsinson = Robin son of Robin = she's her own parent and her own child all at the same tyme!! And if that wasn't bad enough, she's not Robyne Robindaughter, she's Robyne Robinson. So she's a woman yet she's a son, and her own son on top of it all. No wonder there's "something about her that annoys you". I sure can pinpoint why!
