This thread reminds me of how sometimes I watch the shopping network channels when they have various women on selling their lines of cosmetics.

It's fascinating to me how some of them will put layer upon layer upon layer UPON LAYER of makeup on! Ew! I know they're trying to sell their products and so they probably go to the extreme on TV more so than they would in their 'everyday' life, but then again there's this model who I've seen a few times and she talks as though what she's caking on is what she DOES wear everyday. They have so many special liners and powders and contouring powders and shading gels and lightening sticks and specific brushes and colors and all for absolutely everything. It gets confusing. I think you'd have to have an art degree to know how to put all that paint on decently.

I do enjoy browsing makeup and getting new cosmetics, but I'll usually only wear more makeup when I'm going out someplace special. For everyday I've gotten so I barely wear any at all anymore. I've gotten so I get impatient now when I sit and try to "put my face on."

I've been wearing make-up for 10 years and I can get on foundation, eye-liner, eye-shadow, mascara, eye-brow pencil, blush, and lipstick in 15 minutes. I'm sure it doesn't take him very long. He's a pro by now

Up until approx. 150 years ago, men wore makeup. I wonder why it changed?
