Honestly, no. Back when Diamonds & Pearls came out I had that initial rush of it's a new Prince album, it's the best thing ever, but there were tracks on it that I didn't really like back then, and they haven't grown on me since. Of all his albums it's one I rarely go back to. Loved the tour, and all of his tours since then, but for me D&P was where his recorded output really started a big downward turn. I doubt I'd have become a fan back then. Thankfully I became a fan in 84 like so many others.
