1994 "Symbol"era....He looked bony,gaunt and frail...The pancake makeup and heavy, thick eyeliner didn't help either..Many of my friends would kid and joke with me and ask;"What's up with your girl?...ummm, I mean boy!"... ....I was also hearing rumors that P was messing around with coke during that time too.....He reminded of how sick, unhealthy and frail Bowie looked around the "Thin White Duke" era.

I actually love this photo. Prince looks great here. His arms look strong and he looks youthful.

I hate saying this but the bigger the afro became the worse Prince looked. The baby 'fro was great, and he looked good at SXSW and the first Live Out Loud leg. By Montreux it kind of overwhelmed his small physique, and combined with the fact that Prince seemed to suddenly age around that time, it just wasn't a good luck. By 2014 it was just ridiculous and it only accentuates how sick he was when you look at the 2016 photos when he's just sickly (he was similarly thin in 2009, but he had short hair and there wasn't much contrast).

I still maintain that him letting the afro just getting bigger was in hindsight a sign of depression or something; generally people who are depressed don't really put effort into their appearance, and for someone like Prince who was constantly reinventing himself visually and musically to suddenly settle for a very phoned in look is telling for me.

Some others looks I didn't care for:

- The Rave look, specifically the album cover: he looks like Coolio and Bjork's love child.

- The Come era: great music but as stated the makeup makes him look sickly.

- The 'Slave' era.

Side note: I had this same look for a day when I was in my teens (Not Prince inspired btw). My cuz did it n I had 2 take them shits out a-sap cuz they hurt like hell .
