there's a great interview with Wally on youtube, he's had an interesting life, grew up Muslim and knew Malcolm and Ali. I sent him a message on facebook thanking him for the interview and he got right back. Some of these people who we may have thought had no or limited function in Prince's life, at least for me, I was wrong about. I think Prince needed black people around him at that time and I think it helped him. Of course Fink and Wendy and Lisa resented it but you have to look at it from Prince's point of view, all these managers, agents, various record people, almost all white and there's just you and brown mark to really relate to your old community with, I understand it.
