I'd pick SOTT but I'd be pretty sad that I could only ever get to listen to one P album for the rest of my days I think 1999 is his best but, it's a one very specific style for the entire recording. SOTT would be a better long term pick based on diversity.

I didn't mean Purple Rain as an album is generic, just that it's an obvious choice.

Purple Rain including the b-sides rounds up the highlights of his famous '80s run and puts it into a stunningly coheisve package. From start to finish just an amazing album. [Edited 1/12/18 13:34pm] Prince: 1958-infinity. Thank U for everything.

This is too difficult to decide on, it's giving me a headache. Can I devise my own bespoke "Now, This Is What I Call Prince" compilation mega album?

Gotta go with Emancipation as well, aside from about 2 tracks, just love this album. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013

This isn’t easy to choose but I think I am the only one to say The Gold Experience....this has nothing to do with when I became a fan, it’s just an album that gets me through tough times and I adore it. There are no wrong answers here folks

This question is NOT fair. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)
