I know it was on laser disc ...

Remember, not everything is going to be put out on DVD. It's not worth the upscaling. DVD probably, but not bluray. One can't just assume everything is going to have bluray option, especially some tv broadcast from 1988.

There are LD rips out there, and a few have been fixed with coloring, etc so it looks better. It's worth digging torrents, etc., for to find it.
