Your Prince Musical highlight of 2017

2017 gave us a wealth of previoulsy unavailable material, it really has been a great year. I would like to say a big thanks to those who shared the music.

We got to hear the complete Flesh Sessions which exceeding my expectations by quite a way, the Purple Rain Remaster and numerous songs previously unavailable and some great upgrades in sound quality.

My top 5 highlights from the Year are as follows.

Nothing Compares 2 U Prince Vocal Version. Never thought I would hear this and was blown away.

Electric Intrcourse. Yet again never really imagined getting to listen to it. At first I was a little thrown off because it was so different from the live version I was so used to. After a few listens it sank in and I now adore it.

Emotional Pump. Such a great funk pop song. Love the Bass line

Love And Sex (84). Amazing song, how could he leave it in the vault

We Can Fuck. This version for me is the best. I was shocked to see it on the tracklist but so glad it was included.

Now hopefully someone can start 2018 off nicely by letting us all hear the full version of Cosmic Day.

Was also happy to get access to a lot of live shows as well.

From the official release that would be:

- We Can Fuck;

- Love And Sex;

- Electric Intercourse.

From the bootlegs I cannot get enough of:

- Baby Go-Go (the guitar, the bass...........I love it! I'm constantly humming that guitarpart);

- Coco Boys.

And then I even haven't had the opportunity to listen to the two latest big bootleg releases. Very curious about those. Time will tell.

Purple Rain Deluxe 2CD/DVD finally on Warner Bros.

Purple Rain Deluxe LP vinyl..

Even though 17 Days the full version is missing (from the CD), and even tho there's a few errors, and the sound isn't that good..

( we are never gonna be happy/ satisfied.. are we..? )
