In A Large Room With No Light - is what we have the best it'll get? To add on to the Extralovable thread, that one got me thinking about this song and the actual sonics of it.
I've listened to it so much that I feel like I've convinced myself we have it in great quality and that the natural sonics of the track are just "weird" like so many Prince recordings.
This is kind of my holy grail track to have in perfect sound and I'm wondering how you guys all hear it or what you think about the sound quality of what we do have.

I originally got a boot of this song way back in 1990. It sounded decent enough back then. With the studio tricks people have nowadays, it could sound pretty awesome, if it got mastered. It depends on the original master version of the song on tape.
Even so, think of the unreleased songs we got on the Purple Rain Deluxe Expanded from Prince's vault and how good they sounded. So, anything's possible. | |

That seems to be about the best quality of it we've had since the 90's, no? Dying for an upgrade.
Anyone know anything about any alternate versions/rehearsals or anything?
I have one alternate version that sounds ever so slightly better sound wise, but I swear it's got at least a different vocal take on it. | |
