What is the "Dawn" that prince used to mention so much in his songs. I've been a big fan for some time but i could never figure out what it is. | |

Actually in some interview with Prince back in '96 he said something that the DAWN is an awakening of his mind to see things clearly and be able to do what he
wants to do. Don't remember exact comment. | |

I think the original intention (May U Live 2 See The Dawn) was a reference to the second coming - that was before the crap, with the "Welcome 2 The Dawn" | |

Like many things in Prince's songs, the dawn has a double meaning. It does refer to the second coming, but I think it also refers to "Enligtenment" (which coincidently is another Prince song).
He is using the term to refer to enligtenment, but at the same time he is using chararteristics of the second coming to describe this enligtenment. | |

the dawn spoken of here is merely the moment of AWARENESS...some people's dawn has not come.
it certainly does not pertain to Jesus, as Welcome to the Dawn is the new day in Princes life, not in Eternity, which is yet to be. we have seen the new dawn of Princes life. and if you have made any progresses, Welcome to your own...Dawn that is.  | |
