Comerica has to go to the siblings for any contract over 2 million, I think this would reach that number. I would say we're waiting. Not me, I have multiple copies of most of the albums

WB albums were put on streaming services other than Tidal. Anything after Come but before AOA is only available on Tidal (and some of those albums might even be missing from Tidal). As far as I know none of the sibs have asked for the WB albums to be removed from non-Tidal streaming sites. And videos for non-WB released music are going up on the official YouTube channel (which appears to be maintained by WB). So I ask what is the holdup in getting the rest of his work on Spotify & Apple Music? Is Tidal preventing it right now?

I think most of it is held by the estate. Even if Tidal was resolved. They are still monetizing the catalogue. A lot of this is seems to be the same as when he passed. Except for Tidal tossing most of his stuff afterwards.

Idea for New Releases From The Estate:

Release Prince's classic albums as extended sets and mini-events.

For example, release DIRTY MIND in late 2018 w/:

1) CD1: Remaster of the original 8-track LP, available as download, streaming, CD, and

limited edition LP

2) CD2: All Dirty Mind-era b-sides and unreleased tracks, all re-mastered too.

For example, the songs:

- Gotta Stop Messin' About

- Lisa

- American Jam

- Broken

- Big Brass Bed

- When The Shit Comes Down

- Eros

- Plastic Love Affair

- Bulgaria

3) CD3: Prince Live From The Ritz: The Dirty Mind Tour: New York, New York, March 22nd, 1981

The whole concert w/ the audio cleaned-up, re-mastered, etc.

Also, around the release of the albums - commission a hot, young artist to peform a cover from DIRTY MIND. For example, St. Vincent doing a version of the title song, etc. Have the artist perform the song and release a video for mass consumption.

So the number is likely inflated.

Truth is that nothing is going forward w.r.t. monetizing on non-WB materials AFAWK.

Also, because of the botched UMG deal, the price will be lower for the next party showing interest.
