Have any you all ever seen the Interview where Prince said he his mother wanted him to go to College? And then he says naw, that wasn't for him. Sounds like my mama, lol She didn't know Prince was a genius with the music? Or did she want him to get a music degree? You all Thoughts and Opinions?

He had said his mom thought education was very important and she did not want him in the music industry.

and somehow, he succeeded in music AND was a more intelligent, astute, and savvy, person than most could ever hope for themselves.

He had said his mom thought education was very important and she did not want him in the music industry.

This goes to show that even those who love you and want what's best for you do not always have your best interest in mind, especially so when they are setting limitations for you in there expectations of you

Not sure I agree with that. Honestly, I think Prince could have used some more education, it might have been good for him and his music.

you got me, i read a lot of prince interview, i don't remember him ever saying his mama wanted him to go to college. I do recall in an old article where someone, may have been his mom or bernadette, said that he planned to try for a music career and if it didn't work, he'd go to college for music.

well it was some interview on youtube. I may can find it again. Specifically says in it at one time she wanted him to go college or thought he should get a education, forget his exact quote. But it one of those one those wordings...
