Another Ka$h in album - Interrupted Transmission

Noticed it at JB costing $32.00 and wrapped up so you can't see inside it, but has a cheep ass cardboard cover. It is a 3 CD set called "Interrupted Transmission" and shows a 70s picture of a beafroed Prince.

.

The 3cds include yet another reissuing of the 94 east rubbish and its the 10 songs with no Prince involvement - Better If we don't, I can be your teacher etc.

.

CD 2 has sound versions of TV appearances from American bandstand to something in 2001 (I did not look at it for long and did not buy it).

.

CD3 the most bizarre, has Small club!!! A legendary bootleg next to 94East fakes and no doubts muddy quality TV show recordings - I have no idea who issued it, and who would buy it. My guess is that the sound quality is atrocious and its another really bad cash in.

.

Has anyone else seen it.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Okay, I get the idea that this is a hodgepodge mess, but I'm confused by your statement that the 94 East tracks are unrelelated to Prince. Based on what you said, I'm guessing that You Can Be My Teacher, If We Don't, and maybe Better Than You Think are among the titles--and those three tracks do all include Prince on guitar or bass. I mean, the 94 East recordings are not important Prince recordings, but he is on them--yes, some 94 East tracks don't have him, but not the ones that are constantly reissued. Those do have him.

AFAIK all the released 94 East tracks have Prince playing on them. Or did I forget about some precisely because they didn't feature him? eek

The 2002 "94 East Featuring 10:15 and Fortune Teller Remix with Prince on Guitar" album only has two tracks that include Prince (10:15 and Fortune Teller Remix)--the rest of those tracks have no Prince involvement. Princevault gives the album title as just 94 East for the entry page.

I can't remember at all what these two tracks sound like, and I've never listened to any of the other tracks on this album.

Damn you're right, I'd completely forgotten that one.

Never heard the non-Prince tracks either neutral

I probably quoted the track names worng, but I know there was an album of 6 songs that had Prince and Andre stuff on them (Games, Just another sucker etc) and then another with 10 songs on it that had Pepe Willie and Marcy Invgoldstad and others.

.

I looked at this thing for so little time, but it said 94 East and it was at least 10 tracks on disc one. I actually have the 1995 version of it (2 discs, with the Prince I wanna be your lover single picture on the cover). But I never listen to it, it is just so forgettable.

Also in the store were two copies of 94 East, the Many faces of Prince - the Parachute records 3 disc thing from Mexico and 3 Vinyl Records called Prince live and one is Rio 1990 and other is Miami 1985. Just wondering if this stuff is there and if any of its good as I know I am getting some music vouchers for Xmas.
